Northern California Coast

Ron’s work is grounded in Tolowa Dee-ni’ homelands: misty beaches, river mouths, and ridgelines above the ocean — the same country that shaped the stories carved into his pieces.
These photographs are from the coast and dunes near where he is from. They are not decoration; they are context. The same patience you see in tide lines and weathered wood shows up in every joint and carved line.
